the house to cut him and his wife from the
    It was moved that Prest Allred Stat the causes
to him= Carried = The Prest then said it was for slee-

thing to say- say it-- Hewitt replied I have . I have
nothing to say only I do say it is a lie before God, and
that is the man, pointing to Henderson,who has ======

evidence that she has== she is just  as good a woman as you
or any other man has got-- and as to the High Council,
you may cut me of from the Church as quick as you
please, and I will take an appeal to the first Presidency
they can judge by the spirit as well as you-- and as to
that man Henderson I will take enough cut of his hide,
to pay him for living.  The motion was then answered
to not embrace Sister Hewitt, But to include Hewitt
and Mary Ette-- which was carried unaminously and
they were both cut off from the Church..
     Bro. Philo Dibble appeared and was ready for
the hearing if his case-- He presented a document to
the Council according to the notice specified in the
summons, purporting to be a sealing covenant between,
Charles Cunningham was Cynthia Mann which read as
follows. Kanesville February 10th 1849.-------
     This may certify that Bro. Charles Cunningham has
agreed to take Cynthia Mann to the Valley and there be
sealed to her for time and for Eternity as his wife- Cynthia
Mann has also covenanted to go with Charles Cunningham
to the Salt Lake and there be sealed to him for time
and Eternity as his wife.=====
