George Coulson for President of this quorum,
which nomination was seconded. Geo Coulson
then said he had made a resolution at one time,
never to say no when called upon to act in office in
this Church, therefore, will act if required. It was
then put to vote and carried unanimously. Elder
Hyde said it was a safe example how to act, never to
be divided for the Kingdom of God knows no division.
If you divide once upon a trifling matter, you will be
more easily divided upon matters of importance. There

he explained,) I have also a power by [----------]( this he
explained likewise) If I am a Whig, and Elder Woodruff
a Democrat, if I go to where he is presiding I have no
right to dictate to him, neither would I even I had
placed him there. Let us act by the teachings of the

put in a Spring Crop, and they may have it done
and be ready to start middle of May. We will soon
send some to preach the Gospel, and hope they will
have the Spirit to do it. It was then carried upon
Motion that all Members of the quorum who have
not attended on this or former occasions are hereby
excused. Elder Greene then read an ordinance passed
