in this case= Unah Curtis said he had objections to Coucillor Benson for
two or three reasons, 1  he considered that he had mistreated
him in his official capacity= 2 he considered he had come
as near denying the holy Spirit as a man can, and belong
to this church, the first misuse was in  a fast meeting
where he gave him a lashing as he tho without a cause
and 2ndly it was at a party last winter, relative to an observeton
on dancing schools== 3 rd for equivocating from the truth,, said
that it had been stated by Bro. Benson that it was unnecessary

to pray for the Spirit of the Lord as he would have a fulness if he was
found walking in the works of the Lord and doing them &c
  Some remarks relative to Bro Clapps making the charges &c
Prest O. Hyde said it was right that Bro. Clap should stand
up and call forward the witnesses &c..
Chas S. Patterson said that Bro. Benson was a man that

would equivocate from the truth, he had to his knowledge in
a party that  was got up for the benefit of the Bishop, said he
did say things concerning that party and afterwards denyed
making that    statement &c.. said Bro. Benson had abused the  
the Branch and individuals in several instances in then parties
said he did not like to have a man preside over him that
pretended to have to take away his right
Prest B. L. Clapp said he had some feelings, on this ground
when he had preached up at that Tabernacle, Bro. J. M. Benson bore
testimony to it and the next sabath came out and declared
that it was false doctrine and that it was pointing to ====
outies. Charles S. Patterson asked Bro. Stoddard if he did
say that he felt and saw an uneasyness in a certain Branch
and that he could not get the people together in the
afternoon. Bro Stoddard said it was the case and
as he learned after the meeting it was in consequence of
Bro Bensons coming into the meeting, and refered
to Bro's John D. Parker Chester Loveland and others,,
