Chester Loveland said there were some individuals who
had expressed a dissatsfaction toward Bro. Benson's course
relative to the section of a sheriff and many were oppo

sed to his preaching there. The same feeling expressed by
Bro John  Mr. Stewart correbonating the same..
    Bro C. Loveland said the cause of the uneadyness would
reach back beyond the Mississippi..
Bro. B. L. Clappp called on bro. L. Stoddard and Chas,
Mr. Johnson, to say if there is not a general dissatisfaction
relative to Bro. Benson..
     Bro. Stoddard said there was considerable dissatis-

\faction in Springville, Macedonia, Plesant Grove & Big Pigeon.
     Richard Thorn said he twice caught him in what
he called a false hood, gave the time nd place, first
relative to Cooley mill, and second concerning his field

and cattle.. --------- Charles M. Johnson said he had heard a
great many persons say they would rather Bro Benson
was not one of the traveling preachers, but he could
not tell who they were..----- Mary Stanpert said she
had objections to his course relative to their buying
property of him-- see her statement paper No 1, which
was read by PresO. Hyde and he made some remarks
     Bro. John Walker said Bro. Benson course  into
the Branch where he presides,  and his course =======
many feelings of dissatisfaction, and he came up again
said he told him that his former course was that ,that

he could find nothing in the law of God or man to
justify= said also that Bro. Benson carried the idea
that there was inperfections attached to deity
     Bro. B. L. Clapp said another source of dissatsfaction
was Bro. Benson had said that Bro. Hyde had not the
right to appoint the Presiding Elders for the dances..---
     Bro Albert Merrill said that Bro. said tha came to
the branch where he lived, and there said that Bro
Hyde had not the right to give leave of license to Preside
over a dance without the Sanction of the High Council..-
