Bro. Thomas Bird said the Brethren were
dissatisfied with Bro. Benson's course in the
Branch where we was acting as teacher and
by visiting among the brethren he had learned that
there was a general dissatisfaction concerning him
said he had heard bro Benson teach that it was
unnecessary for any person to be always praying to
the father for his spirit, only let his works,, said
also that Bro. Benson had taught that when there was
no record kept only what was kept by this people..
Bro. Levi Bracken said as to his knowledge of
any evil in Bro Benson he had none, but he knew
there was a general dissatisfaction=said he had
heard Bro. Benson at different times teach his Breth-
ren to pray, to attend their family prayers at least
twice a day- he had heard him teach that each
one had a guardian angel, and that angel would
bring all things to light- said relative to the case
between Bro Benson & Bro. Curtis at the fast meet-
ing, both were a little iretated, and Bro. Curtis
threatened watching Bro. Benson and if he saw
any chance for it, would have him turned out ofthe his office..--------------------
Councillor Lyman Stoddard spake relative to the cattle

The case of Mary Stanport against against Bro
Benson as her paper No. 1 was brought up.. Mary Stanport
complains that Bro. Benson after selling her his farm
without reserving the improvement in whole or in
part, did remove a part of said improvement, ( to wit)
one calf pen, one pig pen, a chair from the stable door, a
bench from the side of the Stable, also a quantity of logs
that lay near the house which were to build a place between
