Councillor Geo. Coulson after refering
to some things spoken by Peter Haws
at the preceeding Council said the
prerogative of this Council was to act on
the case of these men in their absence
as they had not appeared after understa
anding the adjournment,, said that
Haws acknowledged the Authority or jurisdic-
tion  of this Council in offering to meet it the
next day,, said Peter Haws did tell him
that they made bogus money in  Navuoo
said in pulled out a mexican dollar from
his pocket and showed saying he helped to
make a good as that in Nauvoo.. In that
he lied [======] I shall not fellowship him untill
he makes a confession to me whether he 's
cut off or let to stick on.. He then moved
that Peter Haws and Lucian Woodworth without
any further ceremony be cut off from the church,
for contempt to the Authorities of the church
and endeavoring to sour the minds of the
people toward their leaders,,
    Testimonies taken-
1^st Lorenzo Clark said he went to see Bro Haws
about a mule, he went in and set down
and brother Haws began about the gold mine,
there was a prospect of gold in these parts..
He knew it might do every man good he
would not be so penurious as  Elder Hyde
and others were he would say every man
come on boys, dig what you please..
They have got a set of tools to work it..
They can do nothing.. They have  to together
and prayed that they might have
success in melting it.. This is not
God's way.. There is a way to melt it..
