a branch at Indian Town called the Indian
Grove branch, and appointed David C. Bunnel
Bishop..
Bro. L. Stoddard reported that he had
organized a branch called Pony Creek branch
and appoint Samuel Gated Bishop..
The case of Isaac Nelson against
Harmon Cutler called up.. The Council organized
E M Greene filling the place of H W Miller..
The parties both present acknowledged them
selves ready,, Council voted for one to speak on
side,, ( To Wit) A H Perkins for defendant and
William Perkins Snow for plaintive.
Bro. Isaac Nelson presented the case, the
difficulty arose from a disagreement relativerelative to some dues concerning the herding
some cattle, which had been agreed to once
before a Bishop, and appealed on the
ground that Bro. Cutler would not do as
he agreed when before the Bishop
Samuel G. Clark 1st witness testified that Isaac
Nelson, and Harmon Cutler did agree
with regard to this case, Bro Cutler
agreeing that he would drive up all his
stock, they having agreed that Samuel
Williams and Samuel G. Clark should
select, prise and turn out to Bro. Nelson
of his stock until Nelson was paid,
a certain pair of old oxen, of which
had been spoked should be excepted, and
not turned out,, also testified that Bro.
Cutler did subsequently refuse to turn
out anything but the old cattle,,
that he did say there should be no diff-
culty for he would drive up his whole
stock and the refered should settle it.
