Councillors Snow moved that the letter was
tight in sentiment and act,, carried
Bro. Hyde made some appropriate remarks..
Bro. Stoddard said Bro. Calkons tho't Bro.
Hyde's jealousy originated from a letter sent
to Bro Snow, Bro. Hyde observed he had heard nothing
of such letter.. The Council called on Bro. Snow
for said letter.. Bro. Snow produced and read
the letter.. On motion the letter was ordered on
file with the Council papers..
Remarks by several of the Councillors
On motion the Council voted that brother Hyde
opperat according to the spirit of the Lord that
that dictated him,, and the council were with
him. Bro Hyde expressed his views relative to
claims,, said as long as we were with in the jurisdic-
of state laws we must be subserveant there to,,
but he would recomenemed as good policy that
where man have large quantities of timber claimed
they should not be to selfish, but allow such as
have little or no timber to share with them,, and
not any be to over reaching in these things,, but
all try to preserve the timber and be as saving
as possible.. Councillor J M Benson came in a
