Prayer by Geo. W Harris.. The clerk read the former
minutes, Bro. William Snow made some exceptions to

the record of Pres. O. Hyde remarks on precedent..
    Pres. P . Hyde made some remarks relative to it
    Geo. W. Harris moved to accept the minute as they
are,, carried..
     Pres. O. Hyde proposed bringing some business      before the council,, said he had feelings with
regard to father Alpnens Cutler and Bishop Calkins,,
he felt that all was not right there, and he had
the testimony within call,, said some of the Council
also knew it, and he did not care what men's
mission might be, if they were drinking  in a
wrong  spirit, it should cone out,, he had writen
a letter and Bro. Lyman Stoddard had been down
and read it to them, and they had taken a copy                    of the letter,, Pres.Hyde read the letter which expressed
clearly his feelings.. Called on Bro. Stoddard to make
a report.. Councillor Ira Oviatt came in..
     Councillor L. Stoddard said he had been to see the
branch
at Father Cutlers,, said they manifested a curious spirit, and
Bro. Calkins took exceptions to  Bro. Hydes letter being
address
to the Branch and not to Father Cutler on himself..
     Bro. Hyde said he had writen and sent the letter
advisedly for he felt it was time for the letter to be
sent, or he would have seen the Council before
sending.. Said he had acted advisedly and by auth-
ority..
     Bro Stoddard said Father Cutler and all there
tho't the mission given them carried them beyond
all Authority here..
