Mr. Parrish for his cow, and ordered the clerk
to write him a note to that effect which he did
The subject of making provisions for the poor
was then agetated and remarks by ones of the
counselors.. Voted that Counselor Stoddard request the
Branches to be making preparation for poor families,,
the list of the poor was then read by the clerk.. Bro. Alex
Williams made some remarks concerning the affairs
of last night,at the party in the Tabernacle..
Pres. Joseph made some remarks relative to the
poor from the other side of the river, also concerning
the proceedings of the last night.. Counselor Stoddard
and others made remarks concerning the liquor &c.
Two letters form Bro. Geo. A. Smith and one from Bro. O. Hyde was read,, Council agreed to get all
hands that could be raided on Monday and finish
up Bro. Geo.A's house,, talked some relative to
a printing house named in Bro. O. Hydes letter
Council appointed Counselors S. Richards and
E. M. Greene a committee of two to visit those men
who were preparing to Establish groceries Sall alies
&c and make know the feelings of the people and
the request of the council.Many remarks from
several of the counselors relative to the conduct of
some people in the tabernacle last night,,&c
Counselor Stoddard requested it reopen for a
little reasons that he might make further advences
in regard to these things.. Remarks relative to some
one being appointed to put the house in order
for public meetings.. Council agreed that in as much
as the Block House Branch have the benefit of the
house for school meeting --. That it was no more
than right for them to put it in order on all such
occasions, and that Bishop D. A, Miller be notified
