branch,near Iowa City, and Wm Lindsay of Mc Olneys
Branch presented themselves, were respectively recom=
=mended for Ordination to the high Priesthood, and
agreeable to a vote then taken, were so Ordained under
the hands of Elders Stoddard & Littlewood.- Henry
Ettleman then represented that his Father, Jacob Ettle=
=man was a high Priest, had died at Nauvoo without
ever having applied for reception into the quorum,
and his name was now enrolled by permission,his
death occurred in or about the year 1846. Chas Allen
of Mill branch was then received unto the quorum.
Adjourned until the first Sabbath in Novb next.

Sunday Novb 4th 1849. In Consequence of the general
Conference having been adjourned to this day, and
the entire day being occupied with the business there of,
Aaron Johnson one of the Presdts Colrs proclaimed, that
there was not any business to be brought before the
quorum that he was aware of, and that in conse=
=quence of the absence of Wm Snow,( the President,)
the meeting was postponed until the first Sabbath
in Decb next. Wm Snow Presdt.

Sunday Decb 2nd 1849. The High Priests quorum met at the
usual time and place, and Elder O. Hyde being present, was
invited to Preach, which he did, by delivering a very interesting
discourse. John Pea was received into the quorum. Singing
and prayer was observed in their proper Order during the
meeting, and it was closed by prayer, and adjourned until
the first Sabbath in January next.
