the witness remember that

1 Witness -A. Evans said that 3 weeks ago to day Bro.                          Harris
                 told him that we were living a period of time                       when a
                  famine is, for the word of the Lord, that                                Brigham young
                   is not a Prophet &c also in a period of                                  scattering and
                  not gathering that the going to the Valley was                    scattering                                                                                  & not gathering that Jackson Co.  was the only                   place
                 of gathering &c also a [===] of time when the                       days are
                  shortened &c. thur periods, the day of                                  scattering
1 guit   Geo W. Harris did I tell you not to go to the valley
             did I tell you that B. Y. was not the proper
              president-- You did not--
              Did I tell you that in my own strength
             Or show you from the word of the Lord --
             did I tell you not go to the Valley- not directly
             you said there was no need of going to the
             Valley that it was a day of scattering-
2 W.    H. Writers -- Bro Harris said we were
           in the day that was spoken of by the
           Prophet when there should be a famine for the
           word of the Lord-- He appeared to comfire the
           the idea to us as a people- that there was no
           revelator in the church &c- the tenor of his                          discourse  
          led me conclude that he wished to throw a backing
          influence not that you said so--
