as comtemplated at the last Council he thought it would
be proper for them to meet but should not deem it
advisable for them to form any organization, more than for the
days. simuilar remarks from several of the Counselors.
     A letter from Vernon H. Bruce, and  another from his
wife and one from the back of the church at St.Joseph
was then read by the clerk.
     on motion of Counselor G.   w. Harris matter was refered
to Prest O. Hyde who expects to visit them soon.
Remarks from Prest O Hyde on political matters, and touching
the political course of A. W. Babbitt, and others, said he should be
with us only a portion of hid time, as important business
would call him away occasionally: said here is the High
Council, who is the anchor to this people: who will not suffer
any thing to go out that is corrupt, or not good: also spoke of
the dealers in spirituous liquors, and of profanity and
hientionsness: of our Covenants; and of conduct & in general:
said that dealers in spirituous liquors, profane and lieantions
persons ought not to have a standing in the church: exhorted
the brethren to be wise in the sale of their property and

not to dispose of their places for useless articles.
     Some general appropriate remarks from Counselor Miller in
regard to the proccedings of the saints in the Valley.
     Motioned by Geo. Coulson and carried.
      That a committee of three be appointed to select,,
location for the poor..
     On motion of Prest o. Hyde; Geo. Coulson  Jonothan Browning
and W. W. Lane were appointed said committee.
     On motion the Council adjourned to met at this place
two weeks from this day at 11 oclock A.M.
