Sunday May 7th 1848
The quorum of high Priests met at the Tabernacle, at eleven O
clock a m pursuant to adjournment. Meeting was opened by
singing a Hymn, and prayer by Elder Snow the Presdt. sung a
hymn. Able Lamb, Isaac Clarke, Archibald Patten, & Josiah W.
Fleming all of blockhouse branch, & prinny Fisher of Abreds
branch, were received into the quorum. The Presdt then presented
the case of Elder Heber C. Kimball who requires Teams to assist
him to he Valley. It was then carried by vote that Elder Orson Hyde do deliver an address to this Congregation, & he done so.
Adjourned until the first Sabbath in June next.

Sunday June 4th 1848.- The meeting of the High Priests
quorum took place agreeable to adjournment, at eleven o clock
a m. The president being present, the meeting was opened
by singing and prayer in the usual manner. The following
named Persons were received into the Quorum, to wit:
Edmund Fisher, of Levi Bracken,
Harloe Redfield Wm Garner,
Benjamin Aber, Horace Skinner,
Calvin C Pendleton, Philo Dibble,
Franklin D. Richards, John Walker,
Joseph W. Coolidge, Wm Faucett.
George Burkett, Abred
After which Franklin D. Richards was called upon by
the presdt to address the meeting, and he done so, giving
an interesting account of his travels &c in England from
whence he had lately returned. The meeting was dismissed
in the usual way, & adjourned until the first Sabbath
