adjournment. The meeting was opened by singing and
prayer in the usual manner, after which the following
named persons were duly received into the  quorum, to wit.
Benjamin Ellsworth , and Isaac Houston both of Spring=
=ville branch, John C. Anis, Samuel Gully, Joseph knight.
& George W. Harris of blockhouse branch, Abisha wyer of
 big
pugeon, Artimus Millet of Council point, Gardner Snow of
Big Spring, Wm W. player of the Ferry, Gustavus A. Perry lake
branch, & Ezra T. Benson Blockhouse branch.- Jacob Morris of
Macedonia branch, & Josiah Merrill of Block H. branch were Ordained
High Priests. After which several  of the members of the quorum
spoke upon doctrine &c, and the meeting  was adjourned at
the usual time, until ten oclock a m on the first Sabbath in Augt.

Sunday August 6th 1848.- The High priests quorum met at the
appointed time & place, meeting opened by singing and prayer.-
Joseph Grover, Springville. Wm Gardner big spring on Musqusto,
Chancey W. Porter of same place, Thomas Laing of big bend on do
Joseph B. Hawked Block House , Daniel L Thomas, honey creek,
Jesse Lampson River Branch, Uriah Roundy  highland Grove,
& John Lamreaux, Mill branch, were received into the quorum.
   After which Luke Johnson of Carterville branch, & David Wood of
Honey Creek branch, were Ordained to the high Priesthood. There were
some preaching, with teaching & instructions given, & the Choir
sung, the meeting was then dismissed, to meet in Sept. next.

Log Tabernacle, Kanesville, Iowa, Sunday Sept 3rd 1848.
At a meeting of the quorum of High Priests, the following business
was done,'' to wit'' after singing'' Watchman ''-& ''on mountains top '' &
Joseph Kelly taking the lead. Opening prayer by Moses Clawson,
sang ''Come Come ye Saints''. Presd Wm Snow spoke a few words to
the Congergation relative to drinking  gambling &c then called for
members who belonged to, & had not united with the quorum here.
