Prest Hyde made several remarks on grogeries
and of measures to be adopted to put them
down and suggested that we use all honorable
and gentlemanly means to put them dow
and rid ourselves of such nuisance.
A motion was put to the Council & House
to that effect- Carried with[ === ]acclamations
he stated further that if the law was in force,
he would not interfer but as it is not we have
to use other moral power as Citizens..
