Prest O. Hyde said the Bishop duty, was more particularly to attend to the
tempral matters of the church wherein dollars and cents, or prorperty
was concerned or at issue,, said the Council was right in appointing
their agent to travel and preach and teach doctrines, and to
settle difficulties that arise for tatteing, back biting, false teaching
and misunderstanding of doctrine &c.
   Resolved on motion of PresHyde that the Bishop W.  W. Lane and his
assistance are in powered to settle all matters of difficulty where
in dollars & cents, or property are art issue,, by a unanimous vote..
also resolved on motion of Prest O. Hyde that the traveling high Priest M. C. Snow agent of the High
Council and his agents, are empowered to settle all difficulties, that
may arise of a morral or spiritual nature by a unanimous vote,
   Prest O Hyde spake concerning quarrels that arise but to frequently between husbands
and their wife,, he said let the marriage covenants be weakened and
what is our condition, our morral power is deadened, and social and
civil intercourse destroyed,, said he voice was against it
   Also Resolved, on motion, that we the Prest. and Council of the Church
of J.C.of L. D S will not hold in fellowship either male or female
who will violste the marriage covenant and cause or consent to a sepperation
by a unanimous vote.. The traveling agent J. C. Snow said he had been
over to the Springville Branch and settled the difficulty that
existed there, and the Branch all agreed to try to do better, said
he had disorganized the Branch for reasons he would give..
   Some remarks from Prest. O. Hyde on claims, showing the impropriety
of one man's trying to hold claims to the detriment of others,
    On motion the Council adjourned, 2 weeks 10 ocl. A.M.
