The High Council met persuante  to adjournment, all
the Councillors present but Jonithan Browning and from
M. Benson when the names were called..
              Prayer by Councillor James C. Snow..
Remarks by president James Allred on punctuality in
attendance at Council and on business while he was speaking
Councillor J. Browning came in.. The minutes of the preceeding
Council read and on motion were accepted.. Remarks from Prest..
  Allred.. Bishop J. G. Bigler reported the situation of the
Branches,                                                                                   so far as they had come in all of which reported the Brethren
in good standing excepting two in Allred Branch..
Remarks from several of the  Councillors on the reports of the
Branches.. The clerk E. M. Greene being called for to act in his official
capacity as District clerk, on his request was exhonorated
from
the Council for the day and Councillor Jacob G. Bigler was
appointed clerk pro tem for the day.. Further remarks
from the Councillors relative to the reports from the Branches on
tything and Sunday other matters..
Prest O. Hyde came in and spake on those subjects, said
the time would come and was not far distant when the
members of this church will be required to pay their tything,
punctualy, in the products of the soil, or the proceeds of trade
the increase of stock or the avails of labor, and not in old
    horses, old watches, or broken down or sickley cattle, at high
prices.. Spake also relative to family  quarrels, and sepperations,
of husband and wife, that the one in fault shall not draw
from the bishop or church a support but should be cut off from the
church.. Remarks from Councillor Geo. W. ham's and others of the
 Council relative to the duty of the Bishop, and also the traveling
agents or high priest , among the Branches in pottawatanie co.
