the special meet of the council was this
day called,, present of the counselor
Jas. Alred  Heman Hyde  Jno. Murcock

Phinchas Richards  W^m G. Perkins H W. Miller
Ira Oviatt  Geo. Coulston  & W^m Snow,
met with the council Bro's Jno. Smith sen.
and Geo W. Harris with an Epistle from the
twelve, relative to our assisting to bring the
poor brethren from Missouri.
     Opened with prayer by H. Hyde..
After hearing the Epistle the subject of
raising & sending teams & men was
duly considered..
     Voted that a meeting be held in each
ward next sunday attend by one of the
counselors to lay the case before the brethren
and endeavor to stimulate them to
action
After some spirited remarks from bro's
Smith & Harris.. Voted that all who go 1^st this
fall with teams to assist the poor be instructed
to meet at Keg Creek Bridge on Wednesday evening
next in reddiness to proceed on their journey
     Voted that Jno.Murdock take the oversight
of all teams and men who go from the
East side of the Mo. River and appoint others
as he shall deem best,, bro's Smith &Harris
requested a report  to be sent to the Twelve of
all teams wagons &c sent from this side of
the river   adjourned till Oct. 10th --A. M.
