The High Council met at the house of
Hiram Clark persuant to adjournment..
    Counselors all present..
     Pres. Wm Snow opened the business for the
day which was making arrangements for the
fitting off the [------------] and wanted to know
if the council would sustain the committee
should they go in debt to push off the
[------------].. Remarks by several of the  Counselors,
     E M Greene moved that the  committee
push the thing and send the mail thro',, and
that the council sustain them,, Carried..
     Pres. Wm Snow read his letter to the presid-
ent in the Valley.. Council voted that it was
right and he send it.. A letter from Geo. A.Smith
and E. T. Benson to the presidency relative to Lyman
Wight, course in Texas.. Council voted send it.
     Some talk relative to Indian movements,,
Bro Geo. A Smith had seen a letter from Pres.
O Hyde speaking relative to the Indians, he
tho't best for us to watch, their moves, and
be in readiness for an emergency..
     Counselor Geo. W. Harris moved that  Henry W.
Miller and Josiah Merrit be a committee to
accompany the Sherif John D Parker to visit mayor
John Miller.. Agent of the Omaha's and Otoa's,              and ascertain, if possible what the movements of those
Indians are,, seconded,, and carried..
     Counselor S Richards presented hid farming statistic,,
Council accepted his report..
     Sherif John D. parker spoke relative to the
best policy to be persued to oboiate a difficulty with
the Indians..
     Council adjourned till the Saturday next preceeding the
1st Sunday in next month..
