Pres. E. T. Benson spoke for himself and Glines..
Pres. Wm Snow decieded that Mr. Willson pay to Mr.
Thorn the twenty dollars and that Mr. Glines
settle with Mr Stewart for the money he had use
of his.. The council sustained the decession..
Counselor Geo. Coulson above voting against it..
The minutes of the Bishops court on the case
of Joseph E. Smith were read to the council
ordered on file..
Some letters on Polities from Bro. A. Hyde present-
ed by Pres. G. A. Smith and read.. Council adjourned until this day 2 weeks
at 2 oclock P. M. at this place

Pres. Wm Snow and clerk E M Greene were
absent.. The Council finding no business adjourned
for 2 weeks at 2 ocl. P. M.

Council called all present but Lyman Stoddard
and J. M. Benson,, Prayer by Counselor Ira oviatt..
The clerk read the minutes of the 29. abt. some
documents were sent in by Pres. Geo. A. Smith with a
request for the Council to consider them.. The clerk
read then, and the council voted to leave the business
in the hands of the presidency.. The law passed by the
Council,, Jan. 1st 1848 relative to stealing was called
up and read by the clerk,, some difference of opinion
expressed by the Counselors.. The case of Richardson
and Collrin was called up and after some altraition
an that subject and the Laws relative to stealing the law
was amended by inserting the words( not exceeding ) in the
sentence, before the words ( thirty nine)
