         Council House in kanesville Sept. 16 1848

The clerk read  the former minutes,, Accepted..
Counselors Stoddard and Benson made known the
reason of their now attendance and were excused..
     Pres. Snow observed that as the county was to
be organized, it was necessary  for the Council to
consider the Election, and make some nominations
for County officers.. Also to appoint a  committee
to investigate the laws.. Pres. E.T. Benson and G. A, Smith
came in.. The council adjourned for 1 hour.. A caucaus
was held and nominations made for County officers.
     The Council conoened  presuant  to    Adjournment..
     The Ticket presented was accepted.. The Conference to
be holden on the 6 of Oct. was  appointed at E. K.
Lees grove on Muskeeto  Creek.  And appointment was
made for the last Saturday in this month to be held
in fasting and Prayer
     The following were appointed Bishops of
