voted William W. Lane should be ordained a
High Priest and the bishopric conferred upon
him and on motion it was voted that he fill the place
of Aaron Johnson in the High Council..

relative to the affairs of the Council Bishopric &c and
moved that Lorenzo Johnson remain a Councillor to
the Presiding bishop.. The motion carried
     Remarks from several relative to the Bishop duty &
      On motion it was movedvoted that the funds be now
delivered to bishop Lane, and that he lay it out in a
farm and fisctures, for the benefit of the poor..
     Remarks from Councillor Johnson and PresO. Hyde
relative to the rush to go to the Valey,, and Prest Proposed
a committee to examine and decide on out fits, and
organize companies.. On motion it was voted that
Jacob Bigler  James Allred, and Orson Hyde be
said committee.. Promiscuons Remarks relative to a
place of rendezvous,, and On motion it was voted
that all living north of a line runing East and
west and stricking the lower crossing of Musketo Creek
should rendezvous at Elm Grove,, and those south at
Bethlehem City.. On Motion it was voted that the
committee be paid 25 cents for each wagon examined
by the owners of said wagon..  On motion it was
voted that the committee attend at Bethlehem city
on Thursday and at Elm Grove on Saturday next..
     Prest O. Hyde spake of the  St  Louis Band, said they wanted
some assistance to help them to go to the Valley &c..
