June 7th 1851 Prest O. Hyde was followed by Counsellor Coulson
and, on the same.. Prest Geo. W. Harris remarked that A was
the duty of the Prest of the Branch call each a men on such
men to account and cut such an one off from the church and
report the same to his quorum, and let all the Branches do
likewise.. PresO. Hyde spake again of the case of Bishop, Abraham
Palmer and the propriety of displacing him and putting anothers
in his stead, as he feared Bro. Palmer was to easy in his
course,
was followed by Counsellors Snow & Coulson who both tho't it might be
well to try him a little longer having been thus reproved, he would do
better &c. Elder O Hyde followed again and felt that he might be
to slack and would let things suffer belonging to the Bishopric.
Bishop Palmer followed saying that he tho't he had some good reason
for his remissness toward that building, said he did not have
the Bishop rick neither did he want it unless he could have
the faith and confidence of the Brethren and espceialy
of the
Presiding officer of this section of the Country.. Councillor D. R.
Williams that it would be best to try Bishop Palmer a little
longer.. Prest. O. Hyde followed on general principle and the
power and acts of the officers of the Kingdom..
   Bishop W. W. Lane made report of the situation of the Branch
when he was, that the spirit of apostacy got in among some the members
the course that he took with them &c., said he had some
good men, and they were determined to do the best they could.
   Councillor J. Browning spake of Musgrave &c. and the spirit
that he had manifested in the case of a debt,, he owed a widow,,
Bishop Lane followed again.
   on Motion of Councillor D. R. Williams the Council voted
to sustain Bishop Palmer in as much as he profits
by the above admonitions and strives to magnify his
calling.. The Council then voted to sustain Bishop Palmer.
    Prest. G. W. Harris moved to adjourn tow weeks
at 10 oclock A. M. at this place,, remarks from Prest
O. Hyde before he dismissed on the chance by which
the Council shall be taught.. Prest Harris moved that
the Council sustain PresHyde with their [=====] on
and a cross the plain and his company and all the Emigrations
