Blockhouse branch received into the quorum. Prest Snow in=
=structed the Presdt of the different branches to report to the quorum
any high Priests that might be disfellowshipped in their respective
branches. Moved by G. A. Smith that Bro Ezekiel Hopkins of Indian
Creek branch be ordained a high Priest, it was carried unanimous
=ly, & he was ordained by Elders Cooley & Gully. Bro Gully made
some remarks relative to the manner of cutting off members from the
Kingdom of God, he considered that when members were cut off
they must make good the breach, before they could again receive
baptism. Some remarks by Bro H. Redfield, speaking against doing
evil, & exhorting the brethren to righteousness & faithfulness. Bro G.
A. Smith then arose & spoke of a prophecy delivered in the Taberna=
=cle to the effect, that, Mormons who would Steal could not hide their
ill gotten gain, but would be detected, & he wished to say that those
who engaged in such business would not prosper but would be
detected, when he heard that the benevolent establishment at Belle=
=view had been assailed, he was sorry, but hoped the assailants
would be brought to justice. he wished to stir up the Saints to obe=
=dience. every hand stretched forth against this cause will wither.
he considers the remarks of Bro Gully strictly true, there is but one
right way to get back into the Church again, restitution must be
made. A man should be zealous in a good Course, but he should
not use it to do evil.- Adjourned untill the first Sunday in March
next, & dismissed by Presdt Snow.
