At Silver Creek Branch there were 16 members who were for organiz
ing under the present organization against 18 members opposed=
gave a general history course with them Bro Coulson and others made
remarks relative to his course Counsellor J.M. Benson moved to accept the report and approve the cases of Brother Stoddard..
Carried unanimously through the house.. on motion Council adj-
ourneds 2 weeks to meet at 10 oclock A. M. E. M. Greene clerk

Met persuant to adjournment= Present James Alred, Geo. Coulson.
Jacob Bigler Geo. W. Harris Lyman Stoddard, C. C. Pendleton, N. S. Bulkley,
J. M. Benson.. Prayer by E. M. Greene clerk,, Prest Alred asked for the house
to be cleared for the Council,, Bro Zebede Coltrin & Sister Hanah M. Coltrin
and Bro James Sloan remained with the Council= Prest Alred made
some remarks= Sister Colrtin said she had requested bro Coltrin to
release her- she had been sealed to him five years- lived with
them in Winter Quarters could not live with them again- he had
done nothing for her to assist her to a support.. Bro. Coltrin replyed
to her,, Con- Geo. W. Harris did the talking in the place of Prest. Alred,
wanted to know if she wished to be liberated from Bro. Coltrin,, said the
Council was Bro. Hyde in his absence in these matters- she said
she did.. Prest Alred said he did nit feel free to act in such
matters.Bro. Harris said he might have insulted the Council by the
steps he had taken, and if so he begged their pardon.. Councillor Stoddard
said he was not free to act in such a case as he had not received any
authority- said the parties could act by agreement, could absolve all
covenants by writen agreement to be satified in the Valley.. J. M. Benson
& Geo. Coulson were of the same mind.. J. G. Bigler & J. Browning came in
Daniel Machintosh came in and read an article clilped from the
Iowa star, and his reply The Council sanctioned the publishing of it
The Council ordered that Allen Cumpton be cited to appear before
the Council to answer why he does not comply with the decision of the
referes in the case of Sister Edwards,, Council adjd half an hour..
At 1 oclock Council convened,, Luman Shirtliff & Isaac Alred was
chosen to fill up the Council.. The clerk read the minutes of July 20
