The case was given them to the Council- and remarks
from several members of the council..
It was moved by bro J. C. Snow that Dr. Luke Johnson &G. Miles
are not guilty of any misdemeanor in their course that they
took in the above case and that they be honorably acquitted..
Carried by a unamanous vote of the Council..
Prest O. Hyde moved that as a piece had been published
in the guardian tucking that case, that the Council order another
piece writen and published to take away the influence that was
carried by the former piece,, Carried by the full vote.
Prest. O. Hyde made some remarks, said he had no confid-
ence in those men who are continually tampering with the
property of others,, said those who would not refrain from
that the judgements of God shall overtake them and
they shall be bro't to lie beneath the [===] of the
Valley,, and the Council said Amen,, said no
man had committed the unpardonable sin when he
had a desire to do right, to do good & be saved..
said there were some things he wanted to speak
but he tho't it was not time yet and he would
with hold yet.. If all was right within our midst.
and all drew to the center, it might howl and thunder
& lighted and the Earth may quake without and we
care not the kingdom Is ours.. May the Lord bless us all Amen
Bro. J. Browning said he was not willing to have this matter
droped without some understanding concerning Geo. Snow as
the others had been honorably acquitted .. Bro Messenger Williams
were of the same mind..
Prest O. Hyde said cut those men off and they eseape a
speedy destruction the Lord has not spoken by me with is the
doings of this Council any validity before him.. If you cut them
off they will go to destruction, and if you keep them in they
will pull us to destruction,, made some references &c
