said he wanted to know if any person knew that George Snow had
sold those cattle to those men. The clerk refered to Dr.Johnson's
statement,, Councillor A Palmer wished Geo. Snow, to make his statement
Geo. Snow said they were a round when he was out to milk &c.. said they
would inquire what were strays &c. and before their going away they
came and said he must be paid for his trouble said they claimed
to know who those oxen of Dr. Johnson's belonged to, & they were going
to take them to their owner ,&c. said they urged him to take some pay
for his trouble and they gave him a rifle & three dollars and
eighty cents,, some obsevations from members of the Council.
Com! H. Cutler asked Geo. Snow if he was not with them in getting
up their cattle- he said he was not be was at home- Bro. Cutler
asked if he was not over about Springville that evening helping
them to gather up, he said he was not,, Bro C. said it could be
proved by two compitents Witness that he was.. Bro. J. C. Snow said
he tho't he was not aware of all he did or said as he was so drunk
in toxicated &c.. some remarks again by the Council-
Prest G. W. Harris moved that the thread by cut that did still
Lord.. Bro. J. C. Snow asked in behalf of his father & mother if the con-
cil and try him get a little reason,, and see if he will repent.

and after some explainations when on motion of Bro. Hyde
he council voted to give him time to report and work out his
salvation &c
On motion the council adjourned until 2 weeks from
today 11 oclock a. M. E. M. Greene
