If any present themselves for Ordination who will do as
they please, others may lay their hands upon them, but I will not. Elder James Alred then said, that he thought
the man who recommends another to be Ordained into this
quorum, should be a good man. No good man will be afraid
of investigation. Elder George Coulson observed, Some say
that 70% cant preside> When a 70 raises a branch, he
can preside over it, and can Ordain another to do so. He
has a presiding power. Ordaining a man to the high Priest=
=hood don't make him a high Priest, but puts him in the
way to become a high Priest. One portion of the priesthood
exalts another portion of it in the hands of another, but

I must honor the Apostleship and thus be exalted, and
exalt others. When this Church enters a Celestial Glory
it must be perfect in all its parts. W e will not enter a
Celestial Glory individually, unless those who go before
to prepare the way.- It was then moved seconded, fully
discussed, & carried by an unanimous vote, that the
names of the members of this quorum. Also, that a seperate
Book be kept for the names. Also that those absent for
three successive quorum meetings, be called to account,
and there names erased from the records of this quorum,
unless they give a satisfactory explanation. William D.
Pratt was then received into the quorum. The Ordination
of John Clarke, (late of Council Point deceased,) by Elder
James Alred, was unanimously approved of, and to be
recorded. Henry H. Wilson was received into the quorum.
