                  GENERAL AFFIDAVIT.

sTATE OF Washington  } ss
in the matter of the claim for Pension  of Mary Elizabeth
widow of James  C. Earl
    name of claimant, the Name and service of Soldier
peronally came before me, a Notary Public
              (Justice, Notary, Judge, Clerk of Duputy clerk)
 County and  State aforesaid Jos. M Sanders and H. C. Sanders of
(Here write name of the affant or of each affant, together with the postoffice address
Virgin, Utah                                                             
persons of lawful age, who being sworn, declare in relation to the aforesaid claim, as follows: That
we were well acquainted with Mary Elizabeth
Earl and James C. Earl for six (6) yrars before
the death of the latter, tht is from the year 1865;
and we testify that they were married to each
other and that they lived together during that time
as man and wife, and were acknowledged and
considered as such by  the people in the communities
in which they lived That we lived in the
same village with them and for a short time
in the same house
I Jos. M. Sanders,       and sixty eight years
of age and I, H. C. Sanders   and
sixty -one years of age. Our postoffice address
is Virgin, Washington Co. Utah.
