also to use all means in your
power to have all the poor saints
brought from Nauvoo , and locate them
here for the winter, or at either of the 
farms back as circumstances and
your best judgement may dictate
and further, to over see and guard
the conduct of the saints; and council
them, that the laws of God and good
order are not infringed upon nor tram-
pled under foot. It will also be esepe-
cted that you will assist and council
the bishops who are appointed to
take charge of the families of those
who are gone as volunteers in the
service of the United States-------
 It will not be wisdom for any families
to cross the river this season unless
they will have sufficient time
to got to Grand Island and cut plenty
of hay to winter their cattle and
keep them from starving- no depen
dence  must be placed in those who
are already gone or are about to
start to Grand Island in regard to
cutting hay, as it mist be under-
stood that ever man every man will

have all he can d o to take care of
his own stock---It will be wisdom
and necessary to establish schools
for the Education of children during
the coming winter in this region
and we wish you to see that this is
done
