was that the one should satisfy the other, which would
be a dangerous precedent. The 70s have acted, & all well,
because of press of business, but, altho a full quorum of
the twelve have full power to act, also a full quorum of
the Seventies have full power to act, yet it must be in
their proper place, in their own field, not in presence of
their Superiors, unless invited so to do. When the first pre=
=sidency send one of the 12, they put all their power upon
him, & so on, in the Church. It is the Priesthood and
power to the great God. When a man departs from this
mode he gets into darkness, the Spirit leaves him, but,
do you hold to the Iron Rod, for you will find that this
is the Rod. He then concluded by blessing the people.
President Snow expressed his satisfaction of what had
been said,& added.If we only thought, that if the Lord
had not put the proper Persons in the Presidency, but
wanted any of us in it, he would let us know.
Elder Hyde then said, that the Spirit he had, told
him that the Presidency and Council here, will com out
right, that he felt well , and does not rejoice in the over=
=turning any of the acts of our brethren, but wished all
things to work together for good. Elder Harloe Redfield,
made some appropriate remarks in concurrence with
the foregoing, and so forth. After which the public meet=
=ing was closed by Elder Hyde. The minutes of the
meetings of September, October, & November last were then
read & approved. Moved, seconded, & carried that the
Ordination to George Eyre of Unionville, be the
President & his councillors, after the close of the meeting
in Decb last be , and is approved of Moses Moss was then
proposed for Ordination into this quorum, & recommended
by Elder Hewill Presdt of one of the quorums of Seventies,
which was carried by vote. It was then carried that
John Davis of Myer's Mill, be ordained also, & they were
Ordained by Elders Harloe Redfield & Jacob G. Bigler
