The quorum then went into business, and agreeable to
votes taken William Morgan, William Davies, & James
Huntsman were ordained to the High Priesthood, under
the Hands of George W. Harris, Harloe Redfield, & Jonathan
C. Wright. The meeting was them adjourned until the
first Sabbath in April, & closed by Prayer.

Sunday April 7th 1850. The general conference having
Assembled this forenoon, a public proclamation was made,
that ''In consequence of the multiplicity of business before
the Conference, the meeting of the quorum is postponed until
the first Sabbath in May next.''

Sunday May 5th 1850. The Quorum of High Priests assem=
=bled after the close of the public Church meeting, (at one
oclock p m,) . The President,as also his Counsellors were
present. Meeting was opened by prayer by Elder Clarke,
Presedent of the Elders quorum. The minutes of the meetings
up to this time were read and approved of Presdt Snow
then made several appropriate remarks as to those who
did, or should belong to this quorum, showing a little
picture for to get a living , or selling cakes and beer,and
keeping a grocery, &c, &c. On motion, it was carried, that Jacob
Bigler be ordained to the High Priesthood, & he was then
ordained by Wm Snow, Presdt,& Aaron Johnson one of his Colrs,
John Pea then asked, and was forgiven, for going into a
grocery and taking spirituous drunk, in as much as he
regretted it, and intended to do so no more. Bishop player
quesented the case of some in his branch, drinking strong
drinks and playing cards, he was recommended to visit
them, and if they do not desist, to report them to the high
Council. The President and his Councillors are to have recom=
