recommends, and they to give the like to all others who
may be in good fellowship. Part of the choir were present,
and Sang a Hymn, the music accompanying. Meeting
was then adjourned until the first Sunday in June next,
and dismissed in the usual manner.

Sunday 2nd June 1850. The quorum of High Priests did
not assemble to transact any business this day, because of
the press of other business requiste to be attended to propa=
=ratoty to the Church Emigration starting for the Valley. the
meeting therefore remains over until the first Sabbath in

Sunday July 7th 1850. The quorum of High Priests met this
forenoon in the Bowery on the public Square in Kanesville,
to transact business: Where upon E. M. Greene was chosen
president of the day, and David Candland Clerk of the day,
in the absence of the Clerk of the quorum. The object of the
meeting, viz: ''The Reorganization of the Quorum,'' was explained
by the President, as having become necessary by reason of many
of the members of this Quorum, including the President of
the quorum and one of his Councillors, having gone for the
Valley.- Sung ''Hark listen to the Trumpeters.''- Prayer by
E. M. Greene.- Sung '' Come all ye Sons of Zion'' Elder Greene
arose and said he deemed it most expedient to hear from
the Brethren recently arrived from Salt Lake and after that
to attend to the Reorganization if to is thought expedient
by the assembly. Elder Moses Clawson then spoke upon the
subject of Emigration, and set it forth in very encouraging
terms, respecting privations on the road &c. He was followed
by Elder Burton in a very excellent exhortation to the Saints
here, and quite inspiringly in regard to the Valley.After
which the public meeting was adjourned by E. M. Greene.
