At a special council, there being present of
the counselors, Wm Snow  Wm Draper  Ira Oviatt
Lyman Stoddard  Wm G. Perkins  Noah S. Bulkley and
Silas Richards..  Wm Snow was chosen Pres. protems
and Silas Richards clerk protem,, Prayer by Counselor Snow,
     Joseph Warthon  Stated that WBarrett and
John  Gordon claimed ninety five to  indemnify
them for two horses sold to them by Wm Summerville
Walter Smith and Samuel Smith, which were
proven to be property of Wm  S. Champlier..
     Council decided that their claim be allowed
and paid by said Summerville and Smiths, and
that Joseph Warthon, be appointed to act as
marshal and see that the demand paid..

and A. H. Perkins concerning Jas. M. Welch, having passed counterfit
money to sister Elmore.. Several if the Counselors spoke on
the case.. Moved by Counselor Snow and seconed by Counselor Oviatt
that Bishop Perkins have a discretionary power to act, and
if he thinks proper isue a precept sieze Welch, or attach
property to secure Sister Elmore,, Carried,, adj; 1 hour

Some remarks on the grocery business.. The case of Jane Bullock
(bs) Kimball Bullock was then bro't up.. The parties being
both present the case was opened by Counselor Draper
Remarks by several of the Counselors on the case voted to
have it investigated at this time.. Pres. Allred requested
the brethren who were not interested in the case to leave the
