After much reasoning the case was proven near that
Bro. Miller did bet on a horse race, and as he
did not make satisfaction he was droped out
of the Council, but retained his membership..
The pres. lrot up the case of Enoch King charging
him with lying,, After some altercation upon it , the council voted to lay it over untill the next session..

2 & 3 inst. on record,, took a collection for paper

A special Conference was held under a big
Elm tree, on the west side of the creek in Indian
Hollow,, Potawatamie nation..
1/2 past 11 ocl. A. M. Meeting called to order by singing
a hymn on 276 pg singing led by Bro H. Hyde.. Prayer by
Evan M. Greene..The High council was called, present of the
Counselors Jas Alred 1 Ira Oveatt 2 Wm G. Perkins 3
Geo. Coulson 4 William Draper sen. 5 in place of
William Snow absent,,Moses Daily 6 in place of
A. H.Perkins absent,, Evan M Greene 7 Jaber Durfee 8
in place of L Stoddard absent Benj: T. Bird 9 D. A. Miller
10 in place of H. W. Miller absent,, N. S Bulkley,, H. Hyde 12
the hymn on the 345 pg. was then sung.. Bro. L Stoddard
came while singing..After singing William Draper ---spoke
Commenced speaking to the people,,12 ocl. Bro. O. Hyde
came,, 25 minutes past 12 ocl. Bro. O. Hyde took his place
as President of the Conference,, being chosen by the voice
of the people,,Pres. Hyde then nominated E. M. Greene
clerk, and he was appointed by the voice of the people..
Pres. Hyde then brought forward the case of Bro.
John Lovelace, that was laid over from the Conference the
of the 3rd of July/47.. The charges there refered to are
carried over
