Bro H. W. Miller came in and made a report of his winter's
excursion to Iowa City.. The Council and house voted their
approbation of his course that winter..
     Bishop Lane reported progress of business on the farms
north. On motion the council voted their acceptance of his
labors, and intrueted him to continue to do so.|
     On motion the Council adjourned two weeks to meet
at 11 oclock A.M.                                E. M. Greene clerk

Met, of the High Council persuant to adjournment, H. W. Miller
took his place in the Council.. C.C. Pendleton in the place of L. Stoddard,
Isaac Bullock in the place of J. Bigler, Prayer by W. W. Lane
   Prest. Jas. Allred present and took his seat. The minutes of the
former Council read, and accepted..
   Prest Allred said he had been necessarily away on business
the last two Councils.. On motion the Council accepted his
report,,=== remarks from Prest O. Hyde and several members of
the Council, relative to the attendance of Counsellors.. There was a
general representation from the different branches..
    Prest O Hyde delivered a good lecture on the power and
influence of individuals,, he tho't it advisable that the  Council
should call to account, deal with , and hold responsible those men
who having a standing in this church, go out and make contract
with other people they having confidence because of their standing
with this people, and then seek to evade such contract, and
thus through a [===] on this people, recommended that such a
man be dealt with as peremptily as tho' he had stolen a horses
said he wanted to select from such as had here shown themselves
honorable and upright, those that shall receive horses and
honorable stations and assistance from the Perpetual [=====]
[====] Prest James Allred followed a speaking forth the same
sentinents, and called for a vote expressive of the feelings of this
Council and the representation of the church or branches, in this
county., The feelings of the Council and people were unanimous
in favor of their expressions.. Several of the Counsellors spake on
the different subjects pertaining to the welfare of the people
    William Parks wanted some advice concerning his
family affairs,, was refered to the bishop..
    Elder Hyde spake on dancing and wanted to know if the people
were willing to let the Council and 1st bishop and authorities
have a party without their diving in to dancing, as they had not
had a party this winter,, the people [====] yet----------------
    On motion of Jas, Allred they voted that the High Council head
bishop and authorities have a party at the time and place
that Elder Hyde shall appoint..
   Elder Hyde spake of filling up the Council after the imigration
