Kanesville June 26th 1850 this day came Evans Obanion
and prefered a charge against Moses Morse for threatinging
the life of himself and wife, for abuse to his family
for not settling honorably with him for taking the
name of God in vain and other unchristain Conduct
notice issued for the parties to appear on Saturday 29 Inst
at 3 OClock PM; parties appeared The witness ware Examined
and charge sustained according to Evidence all Except the
charge of Refusing to settle honorably Knight came on the
court adjourned without giving [o]f decision up [in?] full advising
the parties Concerned to settle their difficulty within two
weeks if not the court would do it gave them good Council
shewed them that the course they ware taking was
calculated to distroy instead of saving
and after a propper length of time being given
they ware called together and a settlement
made by the court as they couldnot settle
and was decided that Brother Mos[e]s pay
Brother Obanion six dollars and ten cents
and be at peace withe each other WW Bishop Lane Bp
Kanesville August 15 AD 1850 a charge prefered this
day against Erastus H Derby by Noah S Bulkley
plantiff for drunkenness fighting obuseing the house
of Bro Thomas McKenzie for striking said McKenzie
and other unchristian Conduct notice issued of and
he the said Derby notified to appear before me on
the 2nd inst at one OClock PM of said day at the
Tithinghouse in Kanesville to answer to said charge
the defenden E H Derby appeared at the place appointed
for trial before the hour appointed for trial and left
word that he would not attend to the notice and that
he did not intend to be fooled with his case was did over
and he notified to appear before me on the 21st day of Sept 1850
one oclock PM September 21 he Refusing and not appearing
