Kanesville August 15th AD 1850 this day Noah S Bulkley prefered
a charge before me against John W Bell for drunkenness
and for for fighting Quarreling & the said Bell was
notified in writing by JG Bigler to appear at the Tithing
house on Saturday 2 instant at four O clock PM of said
day to answer onto said charge defendent appeared according
to the notice and humbly confessed and was forgiven
Kanesville Sept 6 this day Came Margaret Cunnington
and Entered complaint against her Husband (William
Cunnington) for impropper treatment to herself
he was notified to appear on the seventh and by
the testamony of Ira Ames and wife and also
by the testamony of Plantiff and defendent it
was Clearly proven that the plantiff Margarett
Cunnington was the aggressor and most in fault
and after some very appropriate Remarks and
good Council being given by the Court they ware
advised to be at peace with Each other and live
to gather as Saints of God and they aggreed to
do so
On Saturday 21st of Sept 1850
J Wright and Martin L Benson met at theD Tithinghouse to have a matter of deal settled
between them and after a long and tedious
investigation it was was decided the Martin
L Benson was indebted Josiah Wright the sum
of Seventeen dollars and nine Cents and that
M L Benson pay over to the Court one dollar for
the benefit of the Poor he paid the dollar and
asked for an appeal to the high Council
at its next sitting granted the parties all
notified to attend the High Council on the appeal
w on Saturday 28 instant at ten Oclock AM
