right to judge the spirits of the Counselors, and
that the Counselors will not be on it
brother Woods set down.
Counselor Allred arose and spoke on the course that
 brother Wood was taking , and rebuked him for
manifesting such a base false spirit as he ma-
nfested.  Brother Woods then proceeded with
his speech giving the reasons for his taking the
cow &c, denied in peaching the council or
authorities of the Church,, he also stated that
brother Brigham did tell him as he said
also that it would be a hard struggle for any
man or even this Council to git the cow without
paying him for wintering her
Counselor Allred then addressed the council and touched
upon the spirit manifested by brother Woods,,
asked brother Woods if he was willing to abede
the decision of the Council, Woods replyed
that he could tell better after he had heard it
Counselor Allred decided that if brother Woods will
deliver up the cow-- Bell-- and rope before
the council leave this place and show his
retraction and confess he wrong, we will at
the right time Compensate him for his trouble,
and he would not be disfellowshipped, if not
the hand of fellowship shall be with drawn
from him. Carried by a full vote.
Bro. Woods confessed he had been wrong and would
deliver the cow tomorrow morning in brother
Millers yard
