The Council being filled and prest O Hyde
being with the Council was opened with prayer by
Councillor H. Redfield,, the clerk read the former
minutes, and they were accepted.. The clerk then
a letter from Bro. A. M. York of Mt. Pisgah,, also his
reply to said which sanctioned by vote of the council..
The case of Bishop J. G. Bigler against Henry
Miller was presented and as Miller did not appear
according to notice,, upon Bishop Biglers arpres-
entation Miller was cutt off from the church
of Jesus Christ of L. D. S..
The case of Isaac Beebee and Mrs Kainey
was then bro't forward and an inquiry made
whether they had complied with the decis-
sion of the previous Councill and upon
the testimony of Bro. Abele Lamb that they
were married, it was droped..
Prest O. Hyde spake relative to Liquor selling
dancing &c,, was followed by Councillor Jas. Allred
Prest O. Hyde then proposed, that M. C. Vorhees being a respectable merchant in Kane-
sville and wishing to give a party to his
friends that a special grant be given him,
O motion Prest, Hyde's proposition was
sanctioned by the Council ..
On motion it was voted that the Branches
of the church of J C. of L. D. S. might recreate them
selves with dancing under the supervision of
suitable men that should by appointed to preside
and that the Holly day commence o the 25th of
December..
On motion Prest O Hyde and Aaron Johnson
were appointed to reside in and about
Kanesville..
