which the clerk read..The petition from Rushville Branch
was called up and the council  to accept the petition
and appoint bro L. T. Coons a bishop,, and gave the clerk
orders to write him an  from appointment..A letter was then
ordered to Bishop N. K.Whitney requesting from him an
account of the probable number of poor that would became
a charge to the church on this side of the River in the Spring..
     Adjourned this day two weeks, 10 ocl. A.M.

Copy of order for L. T. Cooms, to act as bishop,,
Bro L. T. Coons you are hereby Authorized to choose
you two Counselors. and act in the capacity of Bishop
in all civil cases,cases of differences, debts, immoral
conduct &c,, among brethren.. Do all things in rightious-
ness, and see that the Law of God is honored, and the
Lord Bless you in so doing.. Amen..
