met the Council and have made confession, the
Bishop visited him and found him sick and it was voted
Excuse him until next Council-- But Caldwell,
came in and said that he would and did take back
the saying that Jacob Bigler was a damed Scoundrel said it was unbecoming &c. 
   Bro. Bigler wanted to explain, but was stoped by the
President as out of place,, Councillor Coulson made
some remarks, and voted moved that the Bishop
call up the case and have a full and fair investigation
of the matter, carried.
   The council called to themselves, and proceeded
to the business, on the case of Bro. Jas. Sloan- who was
charged with drunkeness & prophanity &c.
   The[n] judge Sloan made some remarks- acknowledged that
he was guilty, of the 1st part of the charge- but as to the latter part he
was not aware of,, he was not conscious of blasspheming,, he was not in
the habit of it when he was sober,, said if cut off he should resign-
   Councillor Geo. Coulson moved his case be dismissed from
the Council with this admonition that he refrain from that  temptation &c..
   Councillor J. C. Snow said there was a report from old
Bro.
Attwood complaining that Bro Coolidge was abusing and
neglecting his daughter that was sealed to Coolidge,, said
understood there was no difficulty between the parties, but
it was with the old man &c.. Some remarks from the   
Councillor, Coulson, followed by Councillor Miller, Prest
Geo W. Harris, & E. M. Greene, and after some more expessions
the case was droped, giving bro Snow the instruction to
Ascertain what was the difficulty and if it was the old

man that was making the disturbance to handle
him for it but to remember that he had no right to
meddle with the sealing power--
   Bro. J. G. Lane Prest of the Branch presented made   a representation of
the course of the Bishop Peter Ranck  in their branch regarding a
widow,, his Counsellors agreed with him making some
explainations,, the[n] Jas. D. Allen & Jas W. Miller..
   Counsellor Snow reports to Prest Lane that Bishop Horn
at Pleasant Valley Branch was appointed to hold a Bishops
