Bishops Docket

On the first day of Janry AD 1851
Dustin Amy prefered a charge against
John G Sasnett for not paying him houserent
Houserent according to agreement also for
impropper conduct playing cards in a grocery
liquor &c for making too free use of ardent
Spirits and using profane language, and
Refusing to give him possession of his house and
lot the charge being fully sustained the
contract between the parties in Regard to Renting
the house and lot ware as follows which was
acknowledged by plaintiff and defendent
the said Amy let the said Said Sasnett
have the use of A house and lot at four
Dollars per month pay able in advance
Each month and when the said Sasnett
failed to comply withe the contract he was
to give the said Amy possession of the said
property and the said Amy and Sasnett
Entering into [...the deal/trial?] on said charge Jany 6th , 51
at six Oclock PM it was therefore decided that
the said Sasnett pay unto the said Amy by the
Eighth inst Eight dollars for houserent or give
possession of the said property and if he left
the premises of the said Amy before the month
had epired which was then commenced the said
Amy should Refund back at the Rate of four
dollars per month and if the said Sasnett
doesnot comply with this decision it will be
at the peril of his fellowship, the said Sasnett
confessed his wrongs promised to Reformation
and asked for giveness of the Court and all
present and was for given
