Now I would advise your body, at the first session
after you receive this to cut Mr. Gheen off from the Church.
and notify the council at the camp on the west side
of the River of you action upon his case, and if he should
after words want to be baptized into the church let him
bring a certificate from his employer, Mr. Sandis, and also
from some responsible members of our church in this place,
that he has settled the affair to the satisfaction of all
parties concerned , then you can re baptized him, and
this will be proper evidence of sincere repentance,
Without this certifficate, have nothing to do with him
after you have cut him off from the church. I know
that you will not suffer a man to threaten a whole
town upon your credit without separating him from
your fellowship. Our brethren here are doing generaly, the best
they can to help themselves by their labor and industry.
and they feel much annoyed at the unwarted and
unprovoked outbreaks of such thoughtless and unprincipled
men. His is given you in truck, as it has been given
to me by witnesses which the church is lawfuly bound
to respect, honor, respect and act upon..
I am, Brethren very Respectfuly
your Brother & abt. Servant
