the clerk of the High Council at Council, Point
whose duty it shall be to keep the same on file and
ready for inspection at any time,, and further it is
ordered that persons owning such stray cattle or creature
shall prove his property and pay all reasonable charges
before he shall take them away..
Bro. H. W, Miller came forward and made a very
humble acknowledgement and was restored to his
standing in the council, by a full vote..
The following ordinance was adopted,, unanimous
It is hereby ordered by this council that when a case
of debt is tried before a Bishop,, and the debt sustained
and the defendant refuses to pay said debt.. The Bishop
shall have power to sumons three men to take and
aprise property to satisfy said debt,, and should
the defendant claim an appeal the Bishop shall give
him and appeal; which he shall present to the
High Council on or before the second sitting of said
council there after..
A Petition came up for  a Bishop at Council Point
petition was  accepted.. And William Draper jun was
adained under the hands of Lymen Stoddard and
William Snow to afficiate in all the powers of the
Bishopric,, Bro. Eliarer King sen. Enock King and
Eliaser King jun. were called in,, and were talk to for
their conduct and language, some good instruction
given then,, &c..
