leaves Benson in debt to Wright $19.66 and my
decision is that Benson pay Wright before the next
sitting of the Council $19.66 also that Benson make
a confession to Bro. Wright for trying to cheat him out
of his just due, a at that time he be cut off
from the church of J.C. of L. D. S. the decision was
sustained by a unanimous vote of the Council and
all present in the house..
On motion the Council adjourned 2 weeks at
11 ocl. A.M. to meet at this place J. G. Bigler cl

The minutes of Oct. 12th read and accepted,, J. Browning
came in and made his excuse which was accepted..
Counsellor Geo. W. Harris repated the meeting of the
council Oct. 26th but five members present namely
Geo. W. Harris, Jacob Bigler, C. C. Pendleton N. S. & J. M. Benson
Prest. Jas. Allred had gone the state of Mo. on business,
W. W. Lane, J. Browning Geo. Coulson, and Ira Ovitt had
gone out on the plains to meet Elder O. Hyde and
company J. G. Bigler and Lyman Stoddard were at home
sick,, not being a quorum no business was done on
Motion they were all excused for their absence..
Motioned and carried that the Bishop of the
several branches of the church in Pottawatamie Co.
be instructed to report on e in four weeks to Bishop W.
W. Lane, the situation if their respective Branches in
regard to tything and the poor.. Bro. and Sister Adair
came before the Council, to know what should be done
in their case as there was a great difficulty existing between
them- One motion Bishop Lane and Council were app-
ointed that difficulty - Bro. James Davenport presented
his case, said he had been disfellowshipped by the
