Case of Mary E. Earl,--------------------NO. 3409.
On this 5th day of October , 1888, at
St. George, Countoy of Washington Territoroy
State of Utah, before me, E. P. Halstead, a
Slpecial Examiner of the lPension Office, personally apperared Lorenzo
Clark, who, being by me first duly sworn in answer
truly all interregateries propounded to him during this Speical Examination of aforesaid
pension claim, deposes and says: that he is 82 years of age,
occupation watchman residence
and post office address, St. George
Utah; that he first knew claminants
husband in 1846. and the claimant
about 26 years; that he does not know
when she married to the soldier but
she was recognised as his wife
and never knew of any other
wife, thinks she lived with him
up to the date of his death, does
not remember when he died
has not known much about
the claminant since solders
death; she had lived most of the
time at Silver Reef does not know
whether she has remarried or
not, does not remember to have
seem her but once about a
hear ago, since the soldier died
that he is not related to her
and has no interest
in her claim.
