Davis Barttolomew said he was present when they
determined to open the road- Mr Jones spoke to him
about rails I offered him rails to loan to any one
to get the loan open and the field safe- recollected
Bro. Baum offering to finish a part o the rails and help
to build the fence &c- but he thought it could be- he thought
Bro. Harley had an interest in getting a road through
he recolected Bro. Baum saying he would brake Jones
develish old head &c-
Mrs Jones said the day they finished up the road I went
to see Bro Wright-told him if he would not fence up the road
I could find rails enough in two hours- and I would go
to work and help him &c___
Bro. Baum said that eh filt that Bro. Harley had injured
him in [===] with Jones to open his fence and through
his crops out to the commons with out giving him notice
Bro. Harley said he had feelings against Bro. Baum
for shutting him in_ he had got a road where the
old one was and he was now satisfied only he thou't
he was unecessarily bring him before the public..
Counsillor Browning tho't in his plea that the dicession
of Prest. Snow was correct that bro Harley should make
a confession---
Councillor Palmer tho't that Bro. Harley had some
grounds of complaint, that after they had shut Bro. H. in
and then after agruing to receive the rails profund-
and open the road, and then faild to do so but kept
the road closed---
Bro. Baum had nothing to say- Bro. Harley had not make
Prest Geo. W. Harris decided that Bro. Baum & Harley have
no bordings against each other, the war is between others
in dividuals and called on the parties to meet before
the Council and join hands in friend ship which was
done and the Council and congergation Sanetuored
it- On motion Council adjourned 2 weeka 10 ocl-
