Remarks from Bishop a Johnson on the affairs of
the Bishoprick followed by Councilr Snow
Prest Allred J. G Bigler- The Council said he was
right in charging more men have acknowledged
they owe a certain amount as Tything also
that he does not answer on Tything any
thing that has been given on donation here fore
adjourned 2 - at the Music Hall 11 ocl A. M.

High Council met persuanted to adjournment
Councilor All present Prest O Hyde also present
Prayer by N. S. Baukeley, the former minutes read
by that clerk Pro temo R Campbell, The minutes
were accepted.-------------------------------------------------
The Clerk Campbell presented an appeal case
from before the Bishop A Johnson which case
was presented without the Transoript, and Bishop
Johnson said it was not customary to take
testimones in writing. An enquire opened by
Councilr Harris, if it is not the duty of Bishops
to take testimony some remarks by Prest Allred
followed & by prest Hyde who said it was a great
task on Bishops to keep minutes and that some
means should be devised in such cases to pay
And the Council should drop such techincalities
and not stop to establish a president. The case
was between Jacob Bigler & Reubin P Hartwell
Br Bigler made his statement of the contract between
him & Br R. P. Hartwell, said that Br Hartwell
came to see him to buy an Ox of his that was sick
and that he told 15 Hartwell that he would
take ten Dollars & Br Hartwell proposed to give
him a cow which he said was worth 12 dollars
and Brother Hartwell was to bring the cow
